Miskatonic University is a fictional university located in the equally fictitious Arkham, Massachusetts. It first appeared in the stories of H. P. Lovecraft and is the setting for numerous Cthulhu Mythos stories written since his death. It also appears in role-playing games based on the mythos.

The university is named after the fictional Miskatonic River, which flows through Arkham.
